Some bright colours ….
The vivid red rose is always a favourite
A few years ago I used to visit this beautiful nursery up in the hills of Perth, called Carmel rose gardens, I loved the colours, scents and most of all the beauty of the place…so with my camera I headed for the hills once more. Sadly I missed the height of the season , when the flowers were at their best…still….

Ever since I first saw pictures of the Splendid fairy wren, I told myself, it would be fantastic to see these beautiful birds , you can imagine the first time, it was like striking gold, however these little birds are so fast, like quicksilver. It took three visits to Caversham wildlife park (these birds were flying free outside ) before I was able to get these shots…I still smile at these photos…
Lake Monger Magic
After work ( Night shift ) on Thursday morning I stopped by Lake Monger for a quick visit….there was cacophonous noise coming from the trees..Corella’s everywhere, I managed to shoot a few photos before exiting ….after night shift, the noise of Sqwarking cockatoos are the last thing one wants to hear….

This weekend, (yesterday
I didn’t see them so close to the nest, they were about 50 metres away…next thing they were there greeting me for their next photo shoot….it was late in the afternoon and so some of the photos are a bit dark.

Since I have ventured back into the life of photography, I have been rather torn between floral or bird photography, I have decided to follow the feathers and concentrate more on them….however that doesn’t mean I need to stop looking and shooting flora ….yes I am still torn…love the both of them…
